This program funds land-based projects that improve the environmental resilience of farm landscapes. It encourages practices that protect water resources, restore natural ecosystems, and strengthen climate adaptation on agricultural lands.

Eligible funding may include:
• Agroforestry and riparian buffer zone improvements
• Wetland restoration and water retention infrastructure
• Grassland rejuvenation and upland habitat enhancements

These initiatives support healthier farm ecosystems and long-term sustainability.

Eligible Purposes

Funding may be used to support research, innovation, and knowledge transfer efforts, with eligible costs including:

• Incremental salaries, subcontracted services, and professional fees
• Knowledge transfer activities and related North American travel
• Facility and lab equipment rentals, materials, and supplies
• Capital equipment over $10,000 and specialized equipment training

Overhead and PST costs may also be eligible as part of the total approved expenses.
