This program helps producers adopt sustainable land and water practices that strengthen the long-term health and resilience of agricultural watersheds. It emphasizes environmental restoration and nature-based solutions to support both farm productivity and ecological stability.

Eligible funding may include:
• Agroforestry projects such as shelterbelts and tree buffers
• Grassland rejuvenation and rotational grazing infrastructure
• Riparian area fencing, planting, and erosion control
• Wetland restoration, runoff mitigation, and upland enhancements

The program encourages landscape-level improvements that deliver measurable environmental benefits across watersheds.

Eligible Purposes

This program supports on-farm land and water conservation practices that improve watershed function and resilience. Eligible activities include:
• Agroforestry initiatives such as planting shelterbelts, tree buffers, and silvopasture systems
• Grassland enhancement, rotational grazing infrastructure, and native forage establishment
• Riparian area restoration, including vegetation buffers and erosion control


Additional projects may include wetland restoration, upland enhancement, and runoff or water retention strategies to support long-term ecological stability.
