Indigenous - Capital Equipment and Software

This program improves local food and agriculture systems by supporting the purchase of infrastructure and technology that strengthens production, processing, and preservation capacity.

Eligible funding may include:
• Equipment for transforming raw products into value-added goods
• Tools that enhance traditional harvesting or support new product development
• Infrastructure upgrades that scale community food operations

This funding aims to strengthen community ownership and innovation across the food value chain.

Eligible Purposes

Funding may be used to support the scaling and development of community agriculture and food infrastructure, including:

• Equipment for greenhouse infrastructure, controlled growing methods, and production practices
• Machinery for food processing, preservation, and facility expansion
• Tools for traditional food systems (excluding fish harvesting)
• Subcontracted services for equipment delivery, installation, and demonstration

Additional related costs may be considered where clearly aligned with project objectives.
