Manure and Livestock Management

This program provides cost-shared funding to help primary producers and land managers implement beneficial management practices (BMPs). The goal is to strengthen the environmental and economic sustainability of agriculture in Manitoba. Key focus areas include soil health, water quality and quantity, biodiversity, and climate change adaptation.

Eligible funding may include:
• Infrastructure to reduce livestock thermal stress and improve in-barn air quality
• Feed efficiency upgrades and composting systems
• Manure handling solutions, such as solid-liquid separation and transport improvements

This initiative helps farmers invest in practical improvements that support resilient, sustainable operations.
