Alberta Agricultural Societies

This program provides annual capital funding to help agricultural societies repair and revitalize their existing infrastructure. It aims to sustain the facilities that support rural events, exhibitions, and agricultural engagement throughout the province. In 2024/25, the program awarded $2.5 million in grants to societies across Alberta.

Eligible funding may include:
• Repair and maintenance of community halls, barns, and show facilities
• Infrastructure upgrades required for event hosting or regulatory compliance
• Contracted services that support the delivery of local agricultural programs

This funding helps agricultural societies maintain vibrant, functional spaces that serve local communities.
