Bee Mortality Assistance

This program provides funding to Manitoba commercial beekeepers who incurred extraordinary costs due to significant overwinter colony losses during the winter of 2021–2022.

Delivered under the Sustainable Canadian Agricultural Partnership and AgriRecovery framework, the program supports eligible beekeepers in restocking and rebuilding their operations.

Eligible funding may include:

• Replacement bee colonies and nucleus colonies
• Package bees and queen bees
• Costs directly related to restocking hives following winter mortality

This program is available to commercial beekeepers operating 50 or more hives and registered with the Province of Manitoba.
