Water Program

This program supports agricultural water management by helping primary producers adopt improved water practices and infrastructure. It aims to reduce risks to water quality and availability, improve efficiency, and build resilience to climate variability. Applicants may apply to one or both program streams: the On-Farm Irrigation Stream and the On-Farm Water Supply Stream.

Eligible funding may include:
• Development of wells, dugouts, cisterns, or spring-fed systems
• Installation of unshared pipelines and off-source watering systems
• Infrastructure tied to irrigation water sources or pipeline tie-ins

This program helps producers secure reliable water systems and adapt to environmental challenges.
