Tree Fruit Climate Resiliency
This stream of the Perennial Crop Renewal Program (PCRP) focuses on increasing the sector’s preparedness and ability to recover from climate-related weather events. Funding supports infrastructure and innovation that protects orchards from extreme cold, heat, and other unpredictable conditions. The program is part of a $15 million provincial initiative delivered by the Investment Agriculture Foundation of BC (IAF).
Note: Funding will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis for completed eligible applications. Submitting an application does not guarantee funding.
Eligible funding may include:
• Infrastructure or systems to protect tree fruit crops from extreme cold or heat
• Projects mitigating unpredictable climate impacts such as wind or hail
• Group projects and innovative technologies that strengthen sector-wide resilience
This stream helps growers adapt to increasing climate volatility and protect long-term orchard viability.
