PEI Agriculture Climate Solutions
This program helps the PEI agriculture sector reduce its climate impact by adopting proven BMPs that lower greenhouse gas emissions or enhance carbon storage in soils. It offers flexible funding structures to support field-based practices, on-farm infrastructure improvements, and innovative trial projects.
Eligible support may include:
• Cover cropping, rotational changes, and no-till planting to build soil health
• Willow planting and grazing improvements to enhance land resilience
• Infrastructure upgrades, such as manure storage covers for GHG reduction
These practices promote both environmental and economic resilience in agriculture.
