The Irrigation Efficiency Program supports improved energy and water efficiencies in irrigation systems. The program provides eligible applicants who meet program criteria, with a rebate for converting low efficiency or high-pressure irrigation systems to high efficiency, low pressure irrigation systems.

Examples of eligible practices include:

  • Sulphate water treatment

  • Livestock water protection

  • Extensive wintering site management

  • Intensive livestock management

  • Rangeland health assessment

  • Grazing management – riparian stream

  • Grazing management – native rangeland stream

  • Targeted grazing

  • Seeding forage – native forage stream

  • Seeding forage – tame forage stream
