Invasive Plant Control

The Invasive Plant Control Program offers financial assistance to rural municipalities (RMs), First Nations (FNs) south of the Northern Administrative District, and their stakeholders. The program supports the coordinated control of prohibited and noxious weeds that are persistent and challenging to manage.

Eligible funding may include:
• Herbicide application and other control methods
• Coordination of weed management efforts across jurisdictions
• Activities that target weeds declared prohibited or high-risk noxious

This program helps reduce the spread of invasive plant species and protects agricultural and ecological lands.
