Food Safety and Traceability Implementation Support
This program supports Manitoba’s agri-food and agri-product sectors in adopting and improving food safety and traceability practices.
Eligible funding may include:
• Development and implementation of food safety programs
• Food safety training
• Validation and verification activities
• Traceability systems
These practices are vital not only for public safety, but also to meet regulatory, association, and customer requirements.

Up to $30,000 available for food safety equipment on a 60% government / 40% applicant cost-share basis.
Up to $30,000 available for traceability items on a 50% government / 50% applicant cost-share basis

Eligible Purposes
Funding covers the development and implementation of preventive food safety programs, including:
• Preventive Control Plans (PCPs)
• Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP) systems
• GFSI-certified food safety systems
Additional activities may be eligible if they support regulatory compliance or enhanced food safety outcomes.
