This cost-shared program supports on-farm businesses in British Columbia with improving food safety systems and meeting recognized certification standards. Eligible applicants include farmers, producers, packers, and ranchers implementing upgrades or assessments to reduce food safety risks. Funding helps cover both planning and implementation costs.

Eligible funding may include:
• Food safety gap assessments, pre-audits, and improvement services
• Facility and equipment upgrades that support safety protocols
• Certification costs for OFFS or HACCP systems through accredited bodies

The program helps BC producers strengthen on-farm food safety and meet industry best practices.
