Agro-Environmental Services

This program supports the delivery of high-quality agro-environmental services to agricultural producers, helping them address on-farm climate change and environmental sustainability challenges.

Delivered through department-led initiatives, the program enhances environmental leadership across agricultural sectors and regions by supporting the adoption of beneficial management practices (BMPs) and fostering knowledge transfer.

Eligible funding may include:

• Nutrient management planning and integrated pest management support
• Soil health assessments and environmental farm plan guidance
• Technical assistance for adopting BMPs and conducting departmental research
• Information sharing and climate change mitigation workshops

This initiative strengthens producers’ ability to adapt to environmental risks while promoting sustainable agriculture in New Brunswick.

• Delivery of Environmental Farm Plans and Nutrient Management Plans
• Coordination of professional development, training sessions, and field days
• Soil health initiatives and related environmental education services

Other operational services may be considered if directly tied to on-farm environmental outcomes.
