Agriculture Stewardship

This program provides cost-shared and per-acre funding for on-farm environmental improvements that promote climate change mitigation, efficient resource use, and soil and water protection. Funding supports the adoption of Beneficial Management Practices (BMPs) across a range of activity areas including nutrient management, riparian protection, and waste handling.

Eligible funding may include:
• Upgrades to manure storage and feedlot areas
• Erosion control structures and reduced tillage adoption
• Riparian fencing, water access systems, and agroforestry innovations

These improvements help PEI farms reduce environmental impact and build climate resilience.
