Small Food Processor Scale Up

This program provides cost-shared funding to help BC’s small-scale food and licensed meat processors scale up their operations. It supports infrastructure improvements, equipment purchases, and activities that increase productivity, improve processing capacity, and open new market opportunities. The program is designed to strengthen the province’s value-added food and meat supply chains.

Eligible funding may include:
• Building or upgrading facilities such as coolers, freezers, or processing rooms
• Purchasing and installing equipment, IT systems, or machinery
• Product development or adaptation projects with a market-driven focus

The program helps small processors expand sustainably and enhance their competitiveness in BC’s growing agri-food sector.
