Saskatchewan Technology Startup

STSI encourages investment in early-stage Saskatchewan-based technology startups. The program provides a non-refundable 45% tax credit to eligible individual investors who contribute capital to qualifying technology businesses. The goal is to accelerate product development, promote innovation, and expand local employment opportunities.

Eligible funding may include:
• Equity investments made by individuals in eligible startups
• Tax credits issued to support innovation and growth in Saskatchewan
• Capital to help new tech companies commercialize their products

Tax credits are issued on a first-come, first-served basis with limited availability each year.

Eligible Purposes

Funding may be used to encourage private investment in Saskatchewan-based technology startups, including:

Investments must be made in an Eligible Startup Business approved under the program.
