Farmland Advantage

This program supports landowners and stewards in restoring grassland and riparian ecosystems through practical, on-the-ground activities. By funding projects that reduce invasive species, enhance native vegetation, and improve grazing practices, the program promotes long-term ecological health and climate resilience. Targeted interventions also reduce wildfire risk and protect native biodiversity across BC landscapes.

Eligible funding may include:
• Removal of invasive species and competitive vegetation
• Native tree, shrub, and grassland planting for habitat recovery
• Rotational grazing strategies to manage encroachment and fuel buildup

The program strengthens natural ecosystems while supporting sustainable land use practices.
